Community Colleges Can Cut the Cost of a Degree

Every week there are articles about the high cost of a degree. Students (or their parents or their companies) are spending thousands of dollars each year on education.

Online degrees, especially those designed for working professionals, average $1200/class for undergraduate classes and about $1800/class for graduate classes. Coming into an online bachelor degree with no credits means the degree can cost close to $50000. Coming into an online master degree and needing foundation classes can cost close to $30000.

Using the community college system can cut those tuition costs down. Almost every state has a college system and offer classes from a low of under $50/class (California is an example) to about $300/class. Classes are offered in General Education, Lower Division courses for the major and Electives.
